With a 2:45am departure from Belmont and 5:30 flight, we’re up and ready for a day of travel and training! We’ve embraced the sleep deprivation and have found lots of humor out it. People at the airports have been asking us if we’re all sisters since we’re wearing the same outfits – we’ve decided to just go with it and say Coach Levin is our dad. Also, our first flight from Nashville to Atlanta was Elison’s first experience on an airplane and she described it as “thrilling”…HA!

Besides airport naps and overpriced coffee, we are expectant and excited beyond words for our trip to the Dominican Republic. For most of us, it’s our first time to go out of the country – let alone on a mission trip. While we have a good idea of what we will be doing over the next week and have spent hours preparing, we know that God is about to do more than we could ever ask or imagine.

Keep up with us on this blog all week! I promise we won’t be boring. I’m going to add a prayer request at the end of each blog so that you can be a prayer warrior with us throughout the week if you are willing to do so!

Prayer: That we would reach our compound in Juan Dolio safely and with ease, that we keep our minds focused on why we are here, and that the Holy Spirit would set the tone for the week.

¡Aqui venimos republica dominicana!
