Rooftop partners with congregations to provide emergency rental/mortgage assistance to residents of Davidson County to prevent eviction, providing stability and hope.
Job Description: Rooftop is looking for a part-time intern to develop a plan for managing social media and website content as well as updating and creating new promotional materials.
Commitment: This is a non-paid internship asking between 8 to 10 hours a week. The hours are flexible and require no work on Fridays or weekends. This would be for one semester with the option to extend.
Summary: Rooftop is in the process of strategic planning and the intern will have the unique opportunity to guide the direction of the communications and marketing of a small nonprofit. There will be a strong emphasis on telling the story in the community.
Qualifications: Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field. They should be familiar with social media platforms, aware of how to schedule content, and knowledgeable of growth and engagement strategies for those platforms. Graphic design skills are a plus. The candidate should have strong organization, communication, writing, and problem solving skills. They should have the ability to learn quickly and work independently as well as handle multiple projects while staying organized.
