Compassus Internship

Position Summary: As a Compassus Marketing and Communications intern, you are an integral part of our marketing and communications team and will gain valuable workplace experiences. The primary responsibility for the position is to support the day to day operations of the home office staff and assist with strategic growth initiatives of our local programs.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Support in functional areas of Marketing and Communications including but not limited to, branding, public relations, communication campaigns, event coordination, and special projects
  • Assists in the development and implementation of communications campaigns targeting internal and external audiences while reporting on trends throughout the campaigns
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications team to create content that engages various demographics and audiences
  • Proofread marketing collateral pieces including press releases, brochures, websites, and other copy
  • Conduct extensive project research through websites and other online sources
  • Propose ways to improve current communication strategies and internal protocols
  • Assist the Marketing and Communication team with coordination of upcoming corporate events

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled college student seeking a degree in marketing, communications, human & organizational development, or related field is preferred
  • Ability to be present at least 32+ hours/ week is preferred
  • Self-starting, dependable team-player who maintains a professional demeanor and appearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, colleagues, and the general public
  • Preferred strengths include organization, time management, accountability, and interpersonal communication
