On Sunday, September 23rd, our very own Dr. Jeremy Fyke, assistant professor in Communication Studies, completed his second Spartan Race. The Spartan Race has events of varying distances, and this year Fyke completed the Spartan Super, covering 8.25 miles and 28 obstacles including a 15-foot rope climb, 8-foot-wall jump, monkey bars, 90-lb sled pull, 110-lb atlas ball carry, and two 100-yard army crawls under barbed wire.
