*Note: Though it may seem odd to take a job as an assistant or intern after graduation, these are typically full-time, paid positions and common entry-points for the profession. In many cases, these represent good opportunities.
Job-hunting takes effort, initiative and courage. Take advantage of every opportunity to make contacts and network– while you’re still in school! Go up and thank the guest speaker in your class. Shake hands with that convocation speaker. Tell your family and friends you’re looking for work. Find the industry leaders on Linked In and request to connect with them. Consider every second at your internship a job interview. The job search will be much less daunting if you prepare now and use the resources available to you!
