Full-time Summer Internship | Nissan

We’re currently looking for a Corporate Communications Intern to join our team for the summer. The position will be at our Americas Headquarters in Franklin, TN, and will be a full-time role. The role is hybrid, allowing for on-site and virtual work.

What You’ll Do

Internal & Employee Communications

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to gather relevant content about our brand and people to draft internal stories and content.
  • Assist with sustaining employee ambassador program – Nissan INsiders, including ongoing engagement opportunities and event planning.

Corporate & Manufacturing Communications

  • Support storytelling around key manufacturing and PDC activities, including Decherd plant 25th anniversary and Keep Nissan Rolling campaign.
  • Develop social media content for plant Facebook communities, and support with corporate LinkedIn posts and thought-leadership pieces.
  • Refresh executive bios on Nissan newsroom.
  • Assist with implementation of communications and engagement strategies to support Nissan’s manufacturing operations.

Product Communications

  • Support the team with key product launches (Nissan Z, ARIYA, etc.).
  • Sustain media coverage with ongoing story mining and storytelling opportunities.

Cross-Communications

  • Participate in the development and distribution of media alerts, press releases, and supporting material.
  • Help facilitate photo and video shoots in support of content creation efforts.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Self-motivated, creative individual willing to collaborate and work with others.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Professionalism to deal with confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Understanding of new communication platforms and trends with fierce curiosity about “what’s next?”
  • Strong ownership and accountability – able to roll-up your sleeves and make things happen.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and graphic platforms preferred, such as Canva.

In order to qualify for this role, you must:

  • Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Corporate Communications, Public Relations or a related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
