Lambda Pi Eta Inducts New Members

This past Wednesday, Belmont’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta inducted 10 new members. Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) is the official communication studies honor society of the National Communication Association (NCA). Lambda Pi Eta has over 400 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities worldwide. It was founded in 1985 at the University of Arkansas and became a part of the National Communication Association (NCA) in 1988. Belmont University’s chapter, Psi Gamma, has been active since 2008.

Officers Abigail Roering (president), Ayanté Willliams (VP), Grace Cleland (SPO), and Caroline Elliott (Sec) officiated the induction. The ceremony was held in the Janet Ayers Conference Center and included a faculty reflection by Dr. Mary Vaughn, a candle-lighting ceremony, and a breakfast reception following.

Lambda Pi Eta will sponsor the COM 1100 Speech Contest on November 10 and a WELL Core event featuring alumni currently working in communications on December 1.
