My name is Emily, and I’m a Coordinator of Campus Community for Her Campus Media, the No. 1 global community for college women with chapters at 400+ schools around the world. We currently do not have a chapter at Belmont University and are searching for potential leaders!
Her Campus’s mission is to be the career-launching point for top student journalists and communications students, and we would love to get Belmont University students (men and women) involved. So far, writers for Her Campus have moved on to jobs and internships at The White House, Glamour, Vogue, BuzzFeed, Vanity Fair, Bustle, Cosmopolitan, Refinery29, POPSUGAR, Harper’s Bazaar, Edelman, MTV, People, The Washington Post and Oglivy, among others.
Leading a chapter is just like running a magazine — chapter leaders oversee editorial content, social media, publicity, event-planning and marketing. For those interested in journalism, media, marketing, PR, entrepreneurship or event-planning, launching a Her Campus chapter at his or her school is a great way to get real-world experience, which employers definitely notice! We also offer internship credit for chapter leaders.
Students can visit www.hercampus.com/chapter to read more about the position and apply, and I am happy to answer any questions or speak to students directly. We are always accepting new applications!
