Agnes + Day is a crisis ready consultancy firm run by Melissa Agnes. It provides consulting, advisory, coaching, and
keynote speaking services, all with the aim of helping organizations in both the private and public sectors become
crisis ready. Clients include government agencies straight through to fortune 500 companies.
This is an unpaid, 3-credit internship opportunity that will offer first-hand experience in the worlds of business
strategy, strategic marketing, and crisis readiness. The position is for the fall, 2019 semester, and we are seeking
two interns to collectively fill this position.
The students selected will work 1:1 with Melissa Agnes throughout the internship and thus, will gain first-hand
views of what is involved with running a dynamic business. The students will also have the opportunity to get
creative, exploring strategic and new ideas for helping Melissa achieve some key business objectives.
These internship positions will involve:
• Creating and executing a strategic content calendar, as well as monitoring and sharing to social media.
• Conducting various types of research, including but not limited to case study research, podcast list
research, and more.
• Assisting in moderating the Crisis ReadyTM Community.
• Being present in certain meetings (virtually and as schedules permit) to learn and to collect takeaways and
action items.
• Documenting all processes undertaken throughout the internship to help in scalability efforts.
• Performing other tasks as necessary.
Internship time commitment: approximately 10 hours per week.
