Successful financial advisor associated with a Fortune 100 company providing financial guidance for over 150 years. My practice is growing rapidly and I need an associate to help me keep up with demand. The General Operations Intern specializes in supporting the financial representative as he focuses on building his practice and client relationships.  The intern must also ensure the continuation of an efficient, effective, and organized office. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

General Support job duties:

  • Set up strategic networking meetings through advisor’s current book of business and current social media networks.
  • Send follow up emails to qualify potential clients as a result of networking meetings.
  • Research profiles of potential clients via the internet (i.e. Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc).
  • Execution and maintenance of social media platforms (Facebook and LinkedIn).
  • Growth among marketing outlets (i.e. website traffic, social media following, etc.)
  • Participate in team meetings, as directed.
  • Required computer skills: E-mail, Internet, Microsoft Office.

NOTE: Prior experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems / software a plus.

Qualifications (Musts):

  • Must be able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week (at least half on-site, in midtown Nashville).
  • Must be social media fluent.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline sensitive environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Has an interest in learning financial services, leadership and small business ownership skills on a continual basis.
  • Ability to think independently, creatively, and move to action quickly.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, or Communications degree focus.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting rate of $10 / hr.
  • Consideration for part-time, or full-time employment after internship, which includes incentive pay.
