On Tuesday, professor Jeremy Fyke and his COM 4340 class (Corporate Training and Development) had class at the Bridgestone Corporate Tower in downtown Nashville. The class was given four presentations from professionals covering different areas of the business, including the head of training in manufacturing, the manager of learning technologies on the retail side, and two individuals who represent Bridgestone’s “Center of Excellence.” After the presentations, the class received a tour of the building and practiced group problem-solving based on real organizational and training challenges that leaders are currently facing.
