Belmont’s recently established chapter of the IABC is currently seeking officer nominations for the 2018-2019 school year. Listed below are the five available positions and their various descriptions. Those interested in pursuing these positions should email Faculty Advisor Jimmy Davis.
President
An elected President (or other designated officer) will preside at all meetings of International Association of Business Communicators the President will maintain the power to appoint all committee chairpersons, shall present all motions to the body present and shall be present at 90% of the meetings of International Association of Business Communicators. President will call officer meetings, delegate tasks to officers, and oversee the coordination of all meetings, trainings, and events. The President will maintain a partnership with the local professional chapter of IABC in the Nashville community.
Vice President
International Association of Business Communicators shall also maintain a Vice President. The Vice President’s duties shall be to preside at all meetings and functions that the President cannot attend. The Vice President will also assist in delegating trainers, guest speakers, and other contacts for all trainings and events. The Vice President is required keep records of attendance of all members and officers, as well as welcoming new members.
Event Services Contact
Event Services Contact will create the curriculum of events and schedule training sessions via BruinLink.
Marketing Coordinator
Marketing Coordinator will market to potential members and advertise upcoming events to the Belmont community.
Financial Officer
Financial Officer will manage all funds such as officer dues, fundraising efforts, and budgetary concerns for all events.
Social Chair
Social Chair will manage all social media accounts and the IABC blog that documents all trainings and events.
