On Saturday, September 23 our very own Dr. Jeremy Fyke, assistant professor in Communication Studies, took part in the Reebok Spartan Race at Fort Campbell Army Base. The Spartan Race is a 4.5 mile race with 21 obstacles, including a 15-foot rope climb, 8-foot-wall jump, Hercules Hoist (hoisting 150-lbs up 20 feet on a cable and pulley), 90-lb sled pull, 110-lb atlas ball carry, 100-yard army crawl under barbed wire, and other diabolical tests.
