GRANTS
The Creative Arts Collective grantmaking initiative supports projects nationwide that: 1) Create and curate works of art, 2) Educate and nurture Christian imagination, and 3) Cultivate and sustain a thriving network in Christianity & the Arts.
Projects should inspire people from diverse contexts to discover and live the beauty and wisdom of the Christian story and encounter God through the Arts.

How do grant recipients engage?
- Articulate how the project or program reflects the Christian story
- Attend an in-person grantee retreat
- Join a virtual grantee cohort
- Participate in the Creative Summit & Arts Festival
- Coordinate with the Creative Arts Collective storytelling team
- Collaborate with network constituents and other commissioned artists
Grant programs
1. Create, Educate, & Network Grant
Who is Eligible?
Artists, leaders, organizations, and institutions creating expressions of the Christian story and faith through art and art experiences including:
- Artists
- Artist Collaboratives
- Church leaders
- Scholars / Theologians
- Arts-affiliated Organizations
- Faith-based Nonprofit Organizations
- Educational Institutions
Projects must take place in the United States.
$50,000 – $250,000 awarded & used over one year
Grant Cycles
Spring: July 1 – June 30
Fall: Jan 1 – Dec 31
Approximately 10 grants awarded per cycle
2. Artist in Context Grant
Who is Eligible?
Organizations or institutions interested in hosting an Artist in Context in their local community including:
- Arts-affiliated Organizations
- Churches
- Faith-based Nonprofit Organizations
- Educational Institutions
Projects must take place in the United States.
$50,000 – $80,000 awarded
& used over one year
Grant Cycle
Spring: July 1- June 30
Approximately 5 grants
awarded per cycle
