At Belmont, we believe that every student was created by God for a purpose and that this University exists to help our students explore their passions and develop their talents to meet needs locally and globally. Put simply, we aim to empower students to use what they learn here to engage and transform the world.

With such a purpose, we must constantly push ourselves to be better. In the fall of 2013, our entire community began a year-long collaborative process to envision the Belmont of 2020. Those discussions yielded Ten Guiding Principles that will help chart our course. I hope the information on this website will keep you engaged in the coming months and years as we work to become what we together have envisioned.
