Make Moves- Battle of the Boulevard Edition: March 21st-April 10th
- We will be hosting a Belmont vs. Lipscomb fitness challenge. In order to participate please go to makemoves.org to register. We will track your fitness regimen and then compare it to the Lipscomb students. This is another chance to be the Boulevard Champions.
Grant Petitions- Petitions Due Friday, March 18th, Grant Meeting Monday, March 28th.
- Forms are on our website. Fill out the form and then be prepared to be at the SGA meeting on Monday, March 28.
Library Extended Hours- Mid-March
- The library will be open 24 hours a day on week nights to help provide students with a secure study space.
SGA Talk Back Session- March 28, 10 a.m.
- SGA wants to hear your thoughts. What should we be doing to better serve you? What would you like to see SGA do in the coming year? What are your hopes for Belmont? Come at 10 am and talk back to us!
SGA Elections- April 4th-15th
- Help select the future of SGA leadership. SGA President and Vice President campaigns will run from April 4-April 12. Students will then be able to vote, on black board, from April 13-April 15. This is your chance to help decide SGA’s direction.
Rose Park Tailgate- April 6th
- SGA will be hosting a Tailgate during the first baseball game at Rose Park. A shuttle will be provided to and from campus and dinner will be served at the field. Please join us for a night of fun, food and school spirit!

Congress Retreat 2010

Freshman Field Day
SGA organized this event in collaboration with a number of other student organizations on campus to let freshman students hang out and have some fun and get the opportunity to meet student leaders. McDougal’s and Sodexo donated heaps of chicken tenders, wings, and ice cream.

2 Provost Candidates to Visit BU
Next week (Sept 7-10) two provost candidates will be on campus at Belmont to communicate with students, faculty, and staff.
Dr. Thomas Burns will be here Sept. 7-8 and will be hosting Q&A session and it’s urged for all of campus to attend.

After each candidate has spoken, there will soon be a website link for all of faculty, staff, and students to go to and evaluate each candidate. The deadline for submitting these evaluations will be Sept . 13 at 5 p.m.
Want to serve on Congress? Applications are now available!
The Student Government Association has open congress seats for the 2010-2011 academic year. We encourage you to consider being a part of this leadership team that positively affects this school. Students wishing to become a candidate for the Student Congress must submit a petition. The petition must bear the legal signatures and Belmont ID numbers of the candidate and 10 students in good standing. All petitions must be submitted to the SGA Office by 5 p.m., Friday, September 3. Applications and petitions are now available on the window of the SGA Office on the first floor of the Beaman Student Life Center. You MUST have your application AND petition submitted in order to run for any SGA position.
